19Aug WW II – Maj Kenneth Weeks Driver (Africa) by douggieweeks WW II, WWII Africa Maj Kenneth Weeks Driverb 1918-1947 Kennith Weeks Driver, son of Arthur and Minnie Florence (Weeks) Driver and husband of Molly (Clark) Driver. This memorial website was created in memory of Kennith Weeks Driver, born 1918 and passed away on 2 February 1947 during an aircraft accident, paying the highest price of war. Kenneth was awarded the DFC in the Second World War flying for the South African Airforce. The DFC was awarded for shooting down 11 enemy aircraft. He also rammed his aircraft into an enemy aircraft when he ran out of ammunition and parachuted to safety. Was a prisoner of war in Germany since 14th June 1941.His final flight flying RAF aircraft back to Britain after the war as Major Kenneth Weeks Driver. We will remember him forever.
